Altex is a privately held company, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, California. The company was founded in 1985, to pursue the development of novel fuels processing, combustion and power systems technologies, including fuel cells, direct energy converters and gas turbines.  Our mission is to deliver safe, clean, quiet, efficient and cost effective energy and environmental systems to our clients.

Altex's clients include goverment, commercial, institutional and academic organizations. In the early years, Altex performed pioneering research in turbulent combustion, working cooperatively with academic and DOE government laboratory researchers at Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore. From these efforts, Altex developed unique modeling and experimental core competencies, which are utilized to engineer solutions to complex problems, at low cost.  In addition, Altex posseses unique test facilities, available for concept or product development work. Altex's facility has nearly 8000 square feet of space, with approximately one half devoted to testing and test article preparation.

In support of customer initiatives, Altex will provide contract research, development, demonstration and deployment services.  By working with Altex, the typical fuels processing, combustion and power system technology hurdles, which delay product development, will be overcome.
