About the Job
Altex is developing innovative, high performance heat exchangers for cooling, heating and power systems, which will be deployed in the mobile and stationary systems that are subject to challenging environments. Current and ongoing applications include supercritical CO2 power cycles, military vehicle compact cooling systems, utility dry condensers for arid regions, and hybrid cooling systems that maximize performance, and save water. Positions are open for dynamic candidates, with experience in heat exchangers, cooling, heating and power systems research, development, demonstration, and manufacturing. Candidates will be part of the Altex engineering team, responsible for the analysis, design, development, fabrication, and testing of prototype systems, which will ultimately lead to commercialization of these solutions. The position requires, at minimum, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with 2 to 5 years of experience. Position and responsibilities will be based on candidate review.

Altex provides very competitive benefits packages to all full time employees. Employees are provided three weeks Paid Time Off (PTO), and ten days of paid holidays. Altex insurance programs cover medical, dental, vision, worker’s compensation, and life insurance. Altex also has a retirement plan, which employees are entitled to after one year of continuous employment with the company. This plan includes a tax deferred retirement account, which the employee controls, through a family of mutual funds. Historically, the company has contributed 5-10% of the employee’s base salary to the employee’s account. In addition, bonus targets are set at the beginning of each yearly review period, which are executed if the staff meets the mutually agreed to objectives.
